Google Workspace licensing

Google Workspace licensing, handled by the team that runs your IT.

ECS supplies, secures, and supports Google Workspace, backed by over 100 years of combined IT experience. You get the right licenses, one invoice, and one Houston-area team accountable for all of it.

What we take off your plate

Editions, storage, and plan terms all change, and the differences are easy to miss. Our job is to keep yours correct, so you never have to think about it.

The right edition for your business

Business Starter, Standard, or Plus, Enterprise, and frontline options, matched to how your staff actually work.

Seats that follow your headcount

New hires are licensed when they start. Departed staff are closed out properly, with mail and files moved where they belong, so you stop paying for them.

Plans and renewals on our calendar

Flexible or Annual, we track what you are on and when it renews, and raise changes before they lock in, not after.

One invoice and one number to call

Licensing, support, and security sit with one accountable team. A license problem and a login problem go to the same place.

Security you already paid for

Two-step verification, Drive sharing rules, and email authentication only protect you once they are set up and enforced. We turn on what you own before suggesting anything new.

Gemini and add-ons, when they fit

We check Drive permissions and data readiness first, so an AI tool does not surface files your staff were never meant to see.

Where Google Workspace budgets usually leak

These are the patterns we look for first in a license review.

Have ECS review your licenses
  • Licenses still assigned to people who left months ago
  • Accounts kept open only to preserve old mail and files, when a transfer or an Archived User license would do
  • Enterprise editions where Business Plus covers the same needs for teams of up to 300
  • Third-party tools duplicating features already in your Workspace edition
  • Annual plans that renewed with more seats than you use

How a license review works

  1. Step 1

    Share what you have

Bring your latest Google Workspace invoice to a free 30-minute conversation, or tell us who bills you today.

  2. Step 2

    Get a written review

We show what is unused, what is the wrong fit, and when your current commitments end.

  3. Step 3

    Switch at the right time

We time any transfer around your existing terms. It is a billing change, not a migration: Gmail, Drive, and Calendar stay where they are.

  4. Step 4

    Stay right-sized

Licensing is reviewed as your team changes and at each business review, so it does not drift again.

Common questions about Google Workspace licensing

Can ECS supply our Google Workspace licenses?
Yes. ECS can supply and manage your Google Workspace licenses, so your licensing, support, and billing all sit with one team.
Do we have to migrate anything to buy through ECS?
No. Changing who bills your licenses does not move your data. Gmail, Drive, and Calendar stay in your existing Google Workspace account. We plan the timing around any commitments you already have.
Do we still own our Google Workspace account?
Yes. The account, your domain, your data, and your super admin access remain yours, and you can move to another provider if you ever choose to, subject to your subscription terms.
Will it cost more than buying from Google directly?
Clients on a managed plan pay the published price with no markup. We review your current licensing and share pricing after a first conversation, and many businesses find savings simply by removing licenses they do not need.
Should we choose a Flexible or Annual plan?
It depends on how stable your headcount is. A Flexible plan lets seats rise and fall with your staff, while an Annual plan costs less but holds your seat count until renewal. Google sets these rules and they change, so we walk through the current options before you commit.
Do you support Google Workspace as fully as Microsoft 365?
Yes. Both platforms get the same team, the same managed plans, and the same security standards. If you are thinking about moving in either direction, we can show you what it would involve.

One team for both platforms

Licensing, security, support, and migrations for either platform, from the same team and on the same plans.
