Migrations in either direction are a specialism of their own. Mail, calendar, contacts and Drive data move with fidelity, shared mailboxes and delegation are rebuilt rather than lost, and cutover is sequenced so nobody arrives on Monday to a broken calendar. We have done enough of them to be honest about which parts are genuinely painful.

Google Workspace Support & Migration — common questions
- It depends on what your business runs on rather than which is better. Heavy Excel, Teams-centred collaboration or Windows-first device management favour Microsoft 365. Browser-first working, simpler administration and strong real-time collaboration favour Workspace. We run both, so we can walk through your actual usage instead of arguing a preference.
- Both, and we have done both. Mail, calendar, contacts and files move with fidelity; the parts that need care are delegation, shared mailboxes and any third-party integration hanging off the old tenant. Those are scoped explicitly rather than discovered at cutover.
- Common, and workable — plenty of businesses end up here after an acquisition. It needs deliberate identity and sharing decisions so files and calendars work across the boundary. What causes pain is when nobody owns that boundary, not the fact of running two platforms.
- The controls insurers ask about — enforced two-step verification, admin separation, audit logging, retention — are all available. Whether your configuration currently meets them is a different question, and one worth answering before renewal rather than during it.
