Co-Managed
Backup and tooling for your in-house IT lead
Who this fits
Companies with an in-house IT lead who need what one person cannot cover.
What Co-Managed is for
Co-Managed is for companies that already employ an IT person and want backup, not a replacement. Your team keeps day-to-day ownership, and ECS provides the tooling, monitoring, and escalation one person cannot cover alone.
We agree in writing who owns which systems and how tickets and changes move between teams, so nothing falls through the gap.
Security services are added à la carte, so you pay only for what your team cannot run.
What changes for you
Your IT lead is not alone
Hard problems get senior help, and coverage continues when your IT person is away.
Better tools without buying them
Your team works with professional monitoring and management tooling that would be costly to buy and run for one company.
Clear ownership
Written responsibilities mean nobody assumes the other team has it handled.
What's included
Grouped by what it does for the business, rather than by the tools behind it.
Escalation
- Tier-2 and tier-3 escalation for problems your team needs help with
- A second set of hands for vacations, sick days, and busy periods
Tooling and monitoring
- ECS monitoring and endpoint management tooling alongside your team
- Shared visibility into alerts, assets, and patching
Working together
- Responsibilities documented in writing
- Clear escalation paths and change coordination
Security services are added à la carte, so you pay only for what your team cannot run.
What Co-Managed does not include
Worth knowing before a call rather than after one.
- Security services are à la carte and billed per user or per endpoint.
- Onsite support and after-hours work are billed hourly.
- Servers and network gear are covered per device.
- Your in-house IT lead keeps day-to-day ownership, including first-line support unless we agree otherwise.
Questions about Co-Managed
- No. Co-Managed is built to support your IT lead. If you decide you want ECS to run everything, a fully managed plan is the better fit.
- We agree in writing which systems each team owns, and how tickets, changes, and escalations move between you. We review the split as your needs change.
- Usually 24/7 managed detection and response and email protection, because they are the hardest for one person to run. We recommend based on what your team already covers.
- One flat monthly fee per user, the same way as our other plans. Security add-ons and per-device coverage are listed as separate lines.
