Virtual Hosting & Private Cloud

Hosted virtual servers and private cloud for Houston teams — without the hyperscaler bill.

How It Works

Not every workload belongs in a public cloud, and not every business wants a server in a cupboard. The middle option — virtual servers hosted and managed for you — is what a lot of Houston SMBs actually need, and it rarely gets offered because it is less lucrative to resell than a hyperscaler.

We provision and manage virtual servers for line-of-business applications, file services, databases, and the legacy system that cannot be retired yet but should not be sitting under a desk. Capacity is sized to the workload, backups are configured and tested, and monitoring is in place from day one rather than added after the first outage.

The commercial difference matters. A predictable monthly figure, no egress charges, and no bill that trebles because someone left a service running. Where a workload genuinely belongs on Azure or AWS, we will say so and help you put it there — but the default should be the option that fits, not the one with the best partner margin.

Key Benefits

  • Predictable monthly cost with no egress charges and no surprise scaling bill
  • Legacy applications hosted properly instead of running on hardware nobody wants to touch
  • Backups configured, tested and restorable — not merely enabled
  • Monitoring and patching included, so a hosted server is not a server you have stopped thinking about
  • Capacity sized against real usage and adjusted as the workload changes
  • An honest answer about which workloads belong on a hyperscaler instead

Virtual Hosting & Private Cloud — common questions

How is this different from just using Azure or AWS?
Mostly predictability and management overhead. Hyperscalers win on elasticity and managed services; they cost more for a steady workload and bill for egress. For a line-of-business app with flat usage, hosted virtual servers are usually cheaper and simpler. For anything spiky or globally distributed, they are not — and we will tell you which you have.
Where is the infrastructure physically?
We confirm hosting location during discovery, which matters if you have data-residency or contractual constraints. It is a question you should ask any provider and get a straight answer to.
What happens to our existing on-premise servers?
Usually a phased migration — workloads move in a sequence, the old hardware stays available until each one is proven, and we agree in advance what "proven" means so the decommission is not a judgement call.
Is this suitable for regulated data?
It can be, with the right controls and documentation, and that is scoped alongside our Assurance work. What we will not do is claim compliance for a hosting arrangement without having mapped the controls your auditors actually assess.
